Care for Philodendron ‘Xanadu’

Also called ‘Winterbourn’, this plant needs higher light requirements than other Philodendron but not direct afternoon sunlight.  Water when soil is dry halfway down the pot, you can check dryness by poking with a toothpick in the soil all the way through.  If no soil sticks to the toothpick when pulled out, you may water.  When watering, make sure the water drips through the pot’s bottom hole.  Leaves will turn yellow if the plant stays too wet. Preferable to take it out of the cache pot when watering.  It can be fertilized once a month during growing season with a water soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength.
